Who am I hiring?

Wojoimages PhotographyThe right team.

Backthird couples don't hire "just a DJ." The Morton Arboretum wedding DJ packages below include:

  • Account Manager to build your wedding plan and serve as your office contact and confidant
  • Lead DJ and Assistant DJ to build your wedding agenda, run sound, mix music and act as Master of Ceremonies
  • On Call DJ to be on standby on your wedding date, in case of emergency

Want to set your wedding apart? Many Morton Arboretum weddings also include live music.

What's my setup?

TWA PhotographyThe right tools.

Weddings at Morton Arboretum are unique - you might say your vows in a garden, move to a patio for cocktails, then transition to a ballroom to dine and dance the night away.

And depending where you celebrate - in the Ginkgo Room, in the Sycamore Room, or in The Thornhill Center's Arbor Room or Founders Room - you'll have different setup needs and a different flow in store for your celebration.

These are very GOOD things! So many spaces and perspectives makes for a great flow to your Arboretum wedding reception, and ensure that things stay fresh for your guests all night - just as long as your DJ knows how to work at the Arboretum.

All wedding packages below include:

  • Sound and microphones for your wedding ceremony - whether it's outside or indoors
  • Standalone sound system for your cocktail music
  • The right sound setup for your dinner and dance times - so your WHOLE day has sound coverage that suits the space, no matter how many times your schedule has you moving from room to room.

What affects my wedding cost?

More or less.

The plans and rates above are typical of weddings we've performed at Morton Arboretum. But there's no such thing as a typical wedding.

Jill DeVries PhotographyWant to customize these plans? For a little MORE than the rates above, you could:

  • Include different live music, like a jazz quintet or a pop strings group with both guitar AND piano
  • Include uplighting (a great way to dress up some of the Arboretum's  rooms at night!)
  • Extend your celebration to last longer than 7 hours total, including the ceremony

Your wedding might cost LESS than the rates above if:

  • You need reception service only (no wedding ceremony at the Arboretum)
  • The celebration lasts less than 6 hours total

We can put professional entertainment plans together at most budget levels - but the single biggest factor in your wedding cost is the size of your guest list.

Which plan do you like best?

Any of the 3 plans above will work great for your wedding at Morton Arboretum in Lisle. We should know - we've done them!

But you can customize, too: Mix and match elements you like from different plans, or ask us how to personalize to fit your style and budget.

So what's your plan? Use this form to tell us what you like - we'll check to make sure it's still possible on your event date. Then we'll contact you personally talk about next steps.

We were very happy with our experience with Stephen from Backthird. We had DJ services for our ceremony and reception at The Morton Arboretum... He was very on top of the timeline we sent him, played music that we enjoyed and followed our play/don't play lists very well. He got everyone up and dancing the whole night! He was familiar with our venue and there were no issues with setup, etc. Overall we were extremely happy with our experience.

We went with Backthird for our wedding at the Morton Arboretum and I could not have been happier. The ceremony music was perfect.  The reception music amazing...  So many people came up to me and told me how much they loved the dinner hour music even. And I have never seen a better and more packed dance floor, with so many people there until the end!
